'Cup Edition' Intake for 2.0T MQB EA888 Gen3 cars such as Golf 7 GTI,
GTD and R is a complete open cold air intake system, using a high flow
and reusable lifetime triple-layer Trifoam® giant domed filter.
We have developed this open intake system for our Golf 7 Volkswagen Racing Cup car programme - so branded 'Cup Edition', and are now offering it for either race use or as a fast-road upgrade as an alternative to our popular R600 fully-enclosed intake, for those who prefer the induction noise and appearance of an open system.
Cold air is drawn through the standard front panel aperture into the filter chamber area. Intake air temperature is protected from the heat of the engine bay with a fully-formed CAD-designed aluminium heat shield which seals against the underside of the bonnet/hood and extends right underneath the filter chamber area.
The VWR High-Flow Turbo Inlet Pipe for MQB Golf 7 GTI/R plus Audi S3 has been engineered to increase air flow through to the turbocharger as the perfect compliment our VWR R600 Cold Air Intake or even the standard airbox. A simple fitment, it replaces the entire restrictive rear factory plastic ‘bellows’ pipe between the airbox and the turbocharger inlet pipe.
Our Turbo Inlet Pipe is a large diameter smooth-flowing silicon hose, crucially with enough compliance to allow for adequate engine movement without causing damage to the intake. There are solid turbo inlet pipes on the market, but without this compliance as the engine rocks under power, then something has to give - with a solid pipe it will either be your intake, or the pipe itself. Back-to-back comparisons with the factory pipe on our flow bench reveals an impressive improvement in airflow, and makes a great compliment to the R600 intake
Racingline Performance R600 Turbo Inlet Elbow
The VWR High-Flow Turbo 90 for MQB Golf 7 GTI/R and Audi S3 has been engineered as a simple upgrade to significantly increase air flow into the turbocharger. Its the perfect complement to either our VWR R600 Cold Air Intake, the standard airbox or indeed any other aftermarket intake system.
A simple fitment, the VWR High-Flow Turbo 90 is a large diameter, free flowing intake elbow, CNC machined from aluminium billet to replace the small and restrictive plastic factory inlet. Without it, you’re wasting the potential of your high-flow intake system – as all of your hard-won smooth flowing intake charge has to taper down to pass through the tight and restrictive bend of the factory part.
The result? Back-to-back comparisons against the factory elbow on our flow bench reveals an impressive improvement in airflow. We’ve seen some surprisingly significant power and torque increases from the fitment of the VWR High-Flow Turbo 90 as a result of the faster turbo spool and increased airflow it generates. You’ll even hear an enhanced sound from your turbo as another benefit for any enthusiast.
VWR Turbo Muffler Delete
The VWR Turbo Muffler Delete is a simple and cost-effective upgrade for any MQB-platform car using the 1.8T and 2.0T EA888 TSI engines with the IHI turbo.
Our VWR Turbo Muffler Delete is a sleek single billet design which replaces the restrictive, power-robbing OEM part with a smooth, turbulence free air path exiting the turbo.
What does it do? The standard part is located on the outlet of the turbo compressor and is simply designed to reduce engine bay acoustics. Whilst it subdues the harmonic noises generated by the turbo, it also adds in disruptive turbulence to the airflow right where you don't want it.
By replacing the standard part with our VWR Turbo Muffler Delete, you’ll replace this restrictive section with a straight, uninterrupted piece. The result: better boost response giving a little more power, all the while being able to actually hear your turbo working
