They are cast in a heat-treated CM-250 alloy chosen for its resistance to heat cycling and warping, and the J-slotted faces clear pad debris and gases while spreading heat evenly. A Geomet coating protects against corrosion.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTemperature-indicating paint on the disc edge shows how hot the brakes have been: green turns white at 478°C, orange turns yellow at 571°C and red turns white at 640°C. If the red mark turns white all round, the discs are running beyond their intended range. 034 aim these discs at daily driving, spirited road use, autocross and entry-level track days, and recommend their two-piece discs for more frequent or aggressive track use.
