The hat is 6061-T6 aluminium and the friction ring is 034's CM-250 alloy, joined by steel bobbins that let the ring expand and float as it heats up. The factory disc is the same part on both sides; these use 72 curved vanes handed left and right, so each side pumps air through the disc the correct way.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe J-slotted face clears pad gas and debris. When the rings wear out they can be replaced on their own, keeping the aluminium hats.
