It replaces the 356mm x 22mm factory rear disc. 034 found the OE disc leaves about 3mm of unused material above and below the pad track, so their ring is trimmed to 350mm overall with no loss of braking, saving weight and improving cooling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEach disc weighs about 13.9 lb (6.3 kg) against 17.2 lb (7.8 kg) for the factory disc, around 1.5 kg less per corner. Audi use the same disc on both sides, so one side runs its vanes the wrong way; 034 supply a handed left and right disc so both cool equally. The hat is machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and the friction ring is cast in 034's CM-250 alloy, joined by alloy steel bobbins that let the ring float and grow with heat without stressing the hat. Inside, 72 curved vanes pump air through the disc, and the J-slotted face clears pad gases and debris while staying quieter than a conventional slotted disc.
