The factory parts are made from thin-wall tube and pressed aluminium, which lets the strut towers move sideways under hard cornering and can make the steering feel vague.

Machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminium with a clear anodised finish, the 034 brace has a centre section that links the left and right strut towers. This gives better triangulation than the factory design, keeps the suspension geometry more consistent in corners and gives clearer, more repeatable steering feedback. 034 rate added cabin noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) as none to low.

034 developed and tested the brace on their own B8 Q5 3.0 TFSI. It bolts on in place of the factory braces, can be fitted in a short time and is fully reversible.

Key Features

Single-piece replacement for the factory front strut braces

Links both front strut towers via a centre brace

Reduces strut tower deflection under cornering

More consistent, precise steering feel

6061-T6 billet aluminium, clear anodised

Bolt-on and reversible, mild installation

What's in the box

034Motorsport billet aluminium front strut brace

All necessary hardware

Product Details

Brand: 034 Motorsport

Manufacturer Part Number: 034-603-0028

Type: Front Strut Brace

Country of Origin: United States

Performance Part: Yes

Unit Quantity: 1

Placement on Vehicle: Front

Material: 6061-T6 billet aluminium

Finish: Clear anodised

Replaces OE Part Numbers: 8R0 805 629 E, 8R0 805 629 F, 8R0 805 629 G, 8R0 805 619 A, 8R0 805 620 B, 8R0 805 620 D

Weight: 3.63 kg

Vehicle Fitment

Manufacturer

Model

Engine/Platform

Year

Audi

Q5 8R (B8 & B8.5)

2.0 TFSI, 3.2 FSI, 2.0 TDI, 3.0 TDI

2008-2017

Audi

SQ5 8R

3.0 TDI and 3.0 TFSI

2012-2017

Not listed for the Q5 hybrid quattro.
