Those valves can fail, letting boost pressurise the crankcase; 034 note that oil can then be pushed out past the oil filler cap. Audi issued a service bulletin on the hose in 2020, and 034 found that even the latest version can still fail.

034's replacement uses their own check valves - a synthetic rubber diaphragm valve on the turbo inlet side and a nylon ball valve on the pressure side - rated to hold over 40 psi. They sit in a 4-ply reinforced, fluoro-lined silicone hose that resists collapsing or ballooning and stops oil vapour seeping through. Both factory vacuum sources are kept, so the system still ventilates at idle and cruise. The hose is shaped so the factory engine cover still fits. 034 sell this kit for competition use and vehicles not used on the public road.

Key Features

Baffled billet aluminium catch can

034-designed check valves rated to hold 40+ psi

Diaphragm valve on the turbo inlet side, nylon ball valve on the pressure side

4-ply reinforced, fluoro-lined silicone breather hose

Keeps both factory vacuum sources for correct crankcase ventilation

Factory engine cover retained

What's in the box

034Motorsport billet aluminium catch can

034Motorsport silicone breather hose with integrated check valves

Product Details

Brand: 034 Motorsport

Manufacturer Part Number: 034-101-1026

Type: Catch Can Kit

Country of Origin: United States

Performance Part: Yes

Unit Quantity: 1 kit

Catch Can Material: Billet aluminium

Hose: 4-ply reinforced, fluoro-lined silicone

Engine: 3.0 TFSI EA839 V6

Vehicle Fitment

Manufacturer

Model

Engine/Platform

Year

Audi

SQ5 (FY, B9 / B9.5) SUV and Sportback

3.0 TFSI EA839 V6 petrol

2017-2024

034 list the B9 and B9.5 SQ5 with the 3.0 TFSI petrol engine.
