Titanium conducts heat far less readily than steel, so the shims act as a thermal barrier that slows the flow of heat from the pads and discs into the calipers.

Keeping caliper temperatures down helps stop the brake fluid from overheating, which reduces the risk of fade during hard track use. Cooler calipers are also kinder to seals and other components, and the shims help cut brake squeal.

They are intended for road and track use and are worth adding if you use the brakes hard or take the car on circuit.

Key Features

Grade 5 titanium (6Al-4V / ASTM B348)

0.5mm (0.02in) thick

Fits between the pads and calipers of the 034 RS+ Big Brake Package

Reduces heat transfer into the calipers and brake fluid

Helps reduce brake fade and squeal

Suitable for road and track use

What's in the box

034Motorsport titanium brake pad shim kit for the RS+ Big Brake Package

Product Details

Brand: 034 Motorsport

Manufacturer Part Number: 034-3ZZ-0007

Type: Brake Pad Shim Kit

Country of Origin: United States

Performance Part: Yes

Unit Quantity: 1 kit

Material: Grade 5 titanium (6Al-4V / ASTM B348)

Thickness: 0.5mm (0.02in)

Vehicle Fitment

Manufacturer

Model

Engine/Platform

Year

Audi

B9 / B9.5 models fitted with the 034Motorsport RS+ Big Brake Package

034 RS+ Big Brake Package calipers

-

These shims fit the 034Motorsport RS+ Big Brake Package only.
