The rubber is fully vulcanised to the centre cups. The result is much less strut mount deflection, better steering feel and more stable suspension geometry under load, with no added cabin noise, vibration or harshness according to 034. It also does away with the squeak common to the factory mounts.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e034 chose high-durometer rubber over polyurethane because rubber damps well in tension, compression and shear and does not pack down or wear in the way polyurethane can. This is a complete replacement mount, not an insert for the factory part.
