🔓 G20 M340i — Bench Unlock, Bootmod3 Stage 2 & XHP Stage 3 Transformation
The G20 M340i is one of the best all-round performance saloons BMW has built, and unlocking its true potential starts with the right software. This setup is a perfect example of how much capability the B58 engine and ZF8 gearbox have hiding beneath the surface.
🔓 Bench Unlock
Before tuning, the ECU needs a physical bench unlock — allowing full access to the maps BMW locks down from factory.
Once unlocked, the M340i becomes fully tuneable for power, responsiveness, and calibration.
🚀 Bootmod3 Stage 2
With the ECU freed, we loaded Bootmod3 Stage 2, giving the car:
- A big jump in power and torque
- Sharper throttle response
- Stronger mid-range pull
- Enhanced turbo efficiency
- Optimised boost, timing & fueling strategies
Stage 2 is where the B58 really comes alive.
⚙️ XHP Stage 3
To match the extra power, the ZF8 gearbox received an XHP Stage 3 transmission flash.
