The engine oil gets changed on schedule, but the gearbox, Haldex and diff oils are the ones that get forgotten. On a tuned RS3 putting more torque through the driveline, old fluid leads to shift flare, a slow or lazy Haldex, and worn diff bearings. We recommend a DSG service every 40,000 miles, and a Haldex and diff oil change every 3 years or 40,000 miles. Halve those intervals if the car is tracked or remapped.
