The new Stage 2 AIRTEC intercooler comes with a 55mm core which also has a huge surface area, flowed end tanks and 64mm pipes outlets. Finished in Pro-Series Black.
Featuring a larger core design together with high-flow cast end tanks and lower alloy scoop to force air directly to the core, the AIRTEC intercooler offers much greater surface area, efficiency and volume over standard. Tested @ Devil Developments rolling road – Testing carried out on Golf Mk5 GTI 2.0 TFSi 200ps, Data collected was Intake Temperatures before & after Intercooler & bhp Increase’s.
Standard Intercooler & Stage 1 Ecu Remap – Intake Temperature of 46 degrees! @ 239.7bhp ’46 degrees is a close limit before ECU starts retarding timing to keep the engine safe, which means you will start to lose power.
AIRTEC Stage 2 2.0 TFSI Intercooler upgrade & Stage 1 ECU Remap – Intake Temperature of 27 degrees @ 253.4bhp.
