The downpipe is a significant part for torque range and power in a turbo system. It´s the connection between the turbocharger and the catback exhaust. If the diameter of the downpipe is bigger as usual and the passage is higher, the turbocharger is able to lead off the exhaust gas easier and quicker. This has a positive influence in torque and power. Another aspect to acquire these products is that the exhaust gas temperature drops and the turbocharger and the surrounding components are thermally relieved.
