The downpipe is a significant part for torque range and power in a turbo system. The downpipe is the connection between the turbocharger and the catback exhaust. The bigger the diameter of the downpipe, the easier and quicker the turbocharger is able to lead off the exhaust gas. This has a positive influence in torque and power.
If the engine warning light comes on after installation, the ECU software must be adjusted.
Technical Details
- the turbocharger is able to lead off the exhaust gas easier, this is the reason for more power
- better torque range, because the charger can work faster
- lower exhaust temperature, so the charger and the exhaust manifold is more protected
- optional available with 200 cells sport catalyst
- adaptors from down to 70mm or 76mm exhausts also available
