This BMW M4 (F82) Coupe performance exhaust is made in 3"/76.2mm pipework and fits from the primary catalytic converter section backwards. This exhaust replace the secondary catalyst (Cat Bypass), centre and rear sections.
This exhaust includes the secondary de-cat and is sold for motorsport and off road use only and will NOT be able to pass a UK MOT emissions test or police road side checks.
EML lights may activate after removing the standard second O/E catalyst. An ECU Re-map is recommended to correct this problem and stabilise all power increases.
This primary cat back exhaust includes a H-pipe section to combine and equalise the gas flow giving a sportier exhaust note.
Please Note - This performance exhaust retains the use of exhaust valves. When switching drive modes (e.g. Comfort to Sport+ mode) your exhaust tone will continue to swop from quieter to louder tones as before.

Keen to make a step above and differentiate from the competition, Cobra Sport have used their extensive experience and use of new exhaust technology to create a product which truly stands out in the aftermarket performance market.
The Cobra Sport research and development team quickly made the decision to base the new M4 exhaust systems on 3" (76.2mm) T304 grade stainless steel pipework. The larger diameter 3" pipework enhances the capabilities of the 3.0 litre twin turbo V6 engine and utilising advanced gas flow design, allows for substantial performance improvements. The M4 development has been based around a valved cat back exhaust with the addition of a secondary de-cat (catalyst bypass) exhaust upgrade. The cat back exhaust includes a centre H-Pipe section, designed to mix and perfectly balance gas flow from both sides of the engine to increase power, improve flow efficiency and enhance the exhaust tone.
Extensive road testing was undertaken in order to ensure there was no resonance or exhaust drone in the cabin throughout the rev range in all drive modes. The sound of the new Cobra Sport exhaust boast vastly improved tonal characteristics, with the new exhaust offering a deeper more aggressive sound when under full load. The Cobra Sport exhaust incorporates a pair of exhaust valves designed to utilise the existing valve motors , enabling continued use of the M4 drive modes to adjust the dynamic of the exhaust. In the comfort driving mode the valves remain shut forcing the gas flow through the flow optimised rear box, creating a finely tuned exhaust note for a sporty but unobtrusive sound track for everyday use. With the valves open in Sport and Sport+ mode, the gas flows through all 4 tips creating a highly aggressive sound track.

Cobra Sport have improved the styling of the BMW M4, creating a noticeably enhanced and balanced look to the rear of the M4 with a choice of quad 3.5" (88.9mm) inward rolled baffled or inverted highly polished stainless steel tailpipes. For those looking to take the style upgrade a stage further, upgraded ceramic coated matt black 'Blackout' tailpipes are available.
